5,000 B.C. You will see the wonderful fortresses built by the knights and
Mdina, a mediaeval city still lived in today. These are the islands that
after the Great Siege by the Ottoman empire in 1565 gave the Knights of the
Order of St. John of Jerusalem their fame and new name, the Knights of
Malta. |

| Malta - Legal Requirements |
|

| Legal marriage requirements in Malta are not a problem.
As long as you take care of the paperwork before you leave, you can literally marry in Malta soon after your arrival.
