Larnaca is the third largest town in Cyprus, and has the largest airport on the Island of Cyprus. It is situated to the south of the island. Larnaca town centre is about 20mins drive away from the airport and will cost £20ish for a return journey in a taxi. 

During the day you will find the busy Larnaca town centre has lots to offer from a local market selling anything from fruit and vegetables to hand made goods. The lace products are of great quality and are ideal for taking home as presents for family and friends. 

There is a large selection of bars, restaurants and taverns in Larnaca, where you can enjoy a meal or just pop in for a well earned drink after a busy day shopping shading yourself from the sun. The sea front in Larnaca has a lovely array of tropical palm trees making it the ideal place to sit and relax whilst soaking up the glorious sunshine. The planes fly in over the beaches at Larnaca and it can be quite amazing to sit and watch them. Don't worry to much about the noise as they don't come and go all that frequently at Larnaca. There are also water sports available to the more energetic holiday maker and plenty of taverns and bars along the sea front if you just want to relax.

Take a visit to salt lake which you will fly over on your way into Larnaca airport, if you visit in the less coolers months you will find this the home of many birds in particular to the flamingos which are very elegant and pleasing to watch and make beautiful photos. 

Larnaca is full of history and with many places to visit including Choirocoitia the oldest Neolithic settlement, the church of Angeloktisti, the museum of Palaeontology and Marine life, Larnaca Medieval Fort Museum and many many more. What ever it is you want from your holiday Larnaca has plenty to offer from a peaceful stroll under the palm trees, to a busy bar on an evening for a bit of night time entertainment in Cyprus.
